Everybody is different, but banyas are typically enjoyed in rounds. The average session consists of 3 rounds with 7-20 minutes intervals in the hot room.
The first round will be the most intense as your body adjusts to the high temperatures of the banya. Come out for a break between rounds. Cool down in the outside weather, dip into the lake, have a cold shower, or drink water then re-enter for round two!
Listen to your body and decide when enough is enough then leave the sauna and cool down.
Its important to note that while banyas can offer amazing potential health benefits, certain individuals, such as those with cardiovascular issues or certain medical conditions, should consult with a healthcare professional before using a banya.
Additionally staying hydrated is crucial during banya sessions as excessive sweating can lead to fluid loss.
Pregnant woman should avoid the use of a banya.
(Not medical/banya advice: Please consult your doctor prior to use and for suggested hot-room intervals)

Yes, absolutely. Adding water over your banya rocks produces a wonderful steam and humidifies your banya session.
Generally a couple of splashes of water is enough to create enough steam. Don't dump the water, drizzle it over the rocks, you'll get a better steam. Dumping water can overwhelm the room and your banya heater.
Always ask your banya mates before adding water.

Our banyas can reach up to 200 ° Ferenheit, which is aligned with banya tradition. Please be sure to monitor the temperature and adjust to a temperature that works for you and your group.
